Netcast: Episode 4!

Netcast: Episode 4!

Its that time of season again.  The frigid wind blowing through the local game stores, legions of parents rushing to find the last copy of Modern Warfare 2, and the Tech In Hiding Netcast Duo (Tony and Dennis) wrapping up the year with a bit of holiday cheer. Not that you could tell…

This week’s show is all about the good and bad that comes with being a large business in the world of technology.  Google is doing good by using Google Maps to track Deforestation and using Quantum Computing to help make image searches more refined.  On the opposite, TechCrunch is doing bad by not playing nice with Fusion Garage and ultimately losing its long rumored, and somewhat awaited, Crunchpad.  Creative, though, is giving many fans and optimistic techies reason for excitement with its Zii Summit.  Many great innovations were showcased and given the hype they deserved.  Not deserving of all its hype is the new “Aol.” movement by America Online.  They have finished their new frontpage and we give our opinions of it.  All in all, its a halfway decent end to the year and gives us much to look forward to in 2010.
