Year Old Halo 3 Most Played Xbox Live Game; Forza 3 Images Leaked

Despite the great games that came out for the Xbox platform this year, gamers continued to play Bungie’s FPS more than any other game, including Rockstar’s latest edition and Epic Games’ rather disappointing sequel to a still popular Gears of War. Major Nelson posted the stats on his Inside Xbox blog a few days ago, and there are a few other nuggets to be pulled out of the data.

Other notable top twenty finishers: Coming in at #18 this year was CoD: WaW’s multiplayer beta, probably due to the fact that it was free.

But a bit more surprising is that Forza 2, which was one of the earliest Xbox 360 games is still strong at #19. Forza 3 is expected to be launched sometime in 2009, and the rumor mill thinks a two disc, 100 track, 400 car behemoth is what Turn 10 is working on. The design studio that did some art for the previous Forza games kinda dropped a few pictures on their website. The game posters were snatched up by a forward-thinking ForzaCentral member and have been making the rounds on the internet.
