Hey gangbangers, you have a little extra extra time to extract that cash from your victims. Rockstar just announced that their Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content entitled “Lost and Damned” will launch February 17th, 2009. It will follow Johnny Klebitz, a biker in the gang known as the Lost and his adventures through Liberty City. The folks over at Rockstar were understandably tight-lipped about the majority of the storyline, but Niko will make a cameo in the campaign. No PS3 version has been announced or expected, as this is Microsoft’s expensive ‘exclusive’ promised by Rockstar.

In PlayStation 3 news, SCEA hardware director John Koller announced that the PlayStation Network has reached 14 million subscribers, the same number as Microsoft announced Xbox Live had last month. The numbers are a bit different, as Sony’s numbers include the PSP gamers. In addition, all 14 million are free, whereas a large percentage of Xbox Live members pay for the subscription service. Recent price drops on the Xbox 360, which cause it to be cheaper than Nintendo’s Wii, in addition to the launch of the New Xbox Experience, may cause Sony to fall back of the pace after the holiday rush.
The bad news doesn’t end there for PlayStation 3 fanboys. Home, SCEA’s still-in-development user community is not expected to fully launch for at least another year, as Koller revealed that the open beta will be up and running sometime in the next twelve months. In twelve months, however, the PS3 will celebrate its third birthday.
