Dragonball/Tekken Movies to be released in ‘09
Sorry for not being on as of late, but times are harder and days are longer. There were problems that have yet to be solved, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still give some updates.
The big news on my list is the confirmed date for the new Dragonball movie, and the now post-production status of the Tekken movie. Both of which will flop in the worst ways possible (as do all games-made-movies franchises) but at least their trying to use bigger games and spending more time on them.
Lets start with my personal favorite, Dragonball. They have made it a point to keep the movie as low profile as possible. Only showing one trailer and, at most, five or six pictures. Other than that, its all word of mouth and guessing as to what the actual storyline will be. I do remember years ago that Becket Dragonball, a popular magazine had a contest to pick the storyline and cast, but apperently everything from that contest was dumpped to make room for this.
Accord to the Magazine, the story was supposed to be about the Cell Wars and had very good actors playing the part. Of course, fans always know which actors fit best. The new movie, instead, involves a younger Goku fighting Piccolo. Its a great story from the original Dragonball and I know it will be awesome, but I still have mixed feelings about them dropping all the fan idea to make room for what is to be released in April of 2009.

Its in post-production. The cast is horrible. Nothing else is known. There is no website, no trailer, no interviews (that i know of), and no set release date other than “2009″….
